Ananda Nahú from Brazil, Ricky Flores from the Bronx, and Jeremy Thal from Brooklyn, came together to make a mural on THE POINT's Barretto Street Wall in a day, march 2014. THE POINT is a Community Development Corporation is dedicated to youth development and the cultural and economic revitalization of the Hunts Point section of the South Bronx. This wall is dedicated to young women everywhere and part of our FEMALE FLAVA festival coming on May 17th hosted by W.O.M.E.N.( Where our Minds Empower Needs).

The primary image is of Yvette, by Ricky Flores, a young women from the neighborhood who died soon after this photograph was taken. This wall is the result of a long collaboration of Ananda and Ricky and has grown into Ananda's first visit to New York, sponsored by ArtsLink, BronxArtSpace, and THE POINT.
